Louise Lacharon is an 84 year old feminist, activist, community worker, mother and grandmother and as fit as a fiddle. She taught literature and linguistics for 30 years, was intensely involved in union struggles throughout her working life and waited to retire to delve into her passion for writing. She has just published her second book, about her life during the second world war, written for one of her grandsons who asked for her story. It was a privilege to sit and chat with her for a couple of hours.
